CIFS now appears as CIFS/SMB

UPDATE
The CIFS ISO Repository is now being referred to as CIFS/SMB – which is a good thing.

QUESTION
Due to the long-term affiliation with CIFS (Win2K and prior) with SMB, will we allow for client version control? IE, "SMB v1.0, 2.0, etc?"

I only ask this as some of the tuning needed to be done for connecting XenServer to SMB/CIFS shares on Windows 2012/R2 as by default, SMB 3.0 is used.
