Recently customer purchased few Dell R740XD and wanted to install Xenserver 6.5. From HCL found Xenserver 7.1 and 7.2 are supported. After installing Xenserver 7.2 while booting the server got stuck at HAP detected. We got a link from citrix website and the solution was to disable watchdog in grub file.
After disabling it worked fine.
Another option was to install OS in UEFI mode or by disabling X2APIC while installing and then enabling X2APIC.
So let me know whether there is any compatibility issue with Xenserver 7.2 and 14G processor.
Processor used is Gold 6140.
What could be the actual issue for this state.
