Environment:
XenServer 7.x in a pool with shared storage.
-
Team:
1. Machines were being live migrated from a host that was supposed to be updated with a driver.
2. During the migration (while in progress), we ran the update tasks to start preparations.
3. When the update reached the Pre-Checks stage, it hung the migration up to a point where it timed out and the VMs crashed.
Error is:
Xenops_interface.Internal_error("Watch.Timeout(30.)").
It appears to be a race between the migration and the pre-checks over a lock. Whichever the justification is - it SHOULD NOT CRASH VMS !!!!
