VDI tracking across migrations

Hi there!

To do delta (or CBT), you need to store the delta files (or blocks) in a backup share. Then you apply the diff on top.

That's fine until you decide to migrate a VDI to another SR: the UUID is not preserved. For an external point of view, it's like a new VDI was created (and the old one removed).

Is there a way to track the VDI to know the current UUID was in fact previously UUID before VDI.migrate?

Or is it planned to keep the UUID to avoid a potential complicated tracking? Or we missed something?
