Description
Maybe as a consequence of the fix to ----, there are now differences between a fresh installation of 7.6 and an updated 7.5 to 7.6 via the update ISO:XSO-881
Fresh install | 7.5 updated to 7.6 |
---|---|
/etc/lvm/lvm.conf containsĀ use_lvmetad = 1 | /etc/lvm/lvm.conf containsĀ use_lvmetad = 0 |
same for /etc/lvm/master/lvm.conf | same for /etc/lvm/master/lvm.conf |
/etc/systemd/system/sysinit.target.wants/lvm2-lvmetad.socket does not exist | /etc/systemd/system/sysinit.target.wants/lvm2-lvmetad.socket still exists (but is a broken symlink) |
/usr/sbin/lvmetad_ does not exist | /usr/sbin/lvmetad_ still exists |
I'm not sure there are consequences to this, but it would help trusting the update ISO process more if it would not lead to different configurations and leave obsolete files or symlinks behind. It might lead to issues very difficult to debug in the long term.
