    • Two physical networks on each pool host
      1) 2x 10Gbit LACP bond with storage and vm network VLANs
      2) 2x 1Gbit active/passive network for management

    Description

XenCenter seems to be missing the option to be able to select which network you wish to use for live migrations of VMs.

You can select the storage network - but not the general transfer network for memory / cpu handover.

This means that you are always limited to the speed of your management network, which is generally a lot slower than your data network.

      For example:

Migrating a VM with 10GB of RAM, 8 vCPUs and 60GB disk takes more than 5x longer to migrate over 1Gbit than over the 20Gbit bond.

This not only slows down day-to-day migrations, but in the event that there is an emergency and VMs need to be shifted quickly between hosts this causes a real problem.
