    Description

      I upgraded to Servers from 6.5 SP1 to 7.0.
Server B had 2 HBAs installed pre upgrade.
Server A had them installed post upgrade.

Server B is working as expected and finds SAN LUNs.
Server A is in somewhat "half state".
      Hardware found by kernel:

      # lspci | grep QLogic
04:00.0 Fibre Channel: QLogic Corp. ISP8324-based 16Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express Adapter (rev 02)
04:00.1 Fibre Channel: QLogic Corp. ISP8324-based 16Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express Adapter (rev 02)
21:00.0 Fibre Channel: QLogic Corp. ISP8324-based 16Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express Adapter (rev 02)
21:00.1 Fibre Channel: QLogic Corp. ISP8324-based 16Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express Adapter (rev 02)

      Kernelmodule/-driver loaded:

      # lsmod | grep qla2xxx
      qla2xxx 617656 0
      scsi_transport_fc 59847 4 fcoe,qla2xxx,libfc,bnx2fc
      scsi_mod 213464 17 sg,fcoe,hpsa,qla2xxx,scsi_dh_alua,scsi_dh_rdac,scsi_transport_fc,libfc,scsi_dh,bnx2fc,scsi_tgt,scsi_dh_emc,scsi_dh_hp_sw,libata,sd_mod,sr_mod

But unable to find any LUN:

      # cat /proc/scsi/scsi
      Attached devices:
      Host: scsi0 Channel: 03 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: P420i Rev: 6.68
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05
      Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: LOGICAL VOLUME Rev: 6.68
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
      Host: scsi1 Channel: 03 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: P421 Rev: 6.68
Type: RAID ANSI SCSI revision: 05
      Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: LOGICAL VOLUME Rev: 6.68
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
      Host: scsi3 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00

Server B looks almost identical, but lists the FC HBAs/LUNs as SCSI devices:

      # cat /proc/scsi/scsi
      Attached devices:
      Host: scsi1 Channel: 03 Id: 00 Lun: 00

Vendor: HP Model: LOGICAL VOLUME Rev: 4.52

Vendor: HP Model: MSA 2040 SAN Rev: G22x
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 06

Somewhat is missing, if you install the HBAs after installation of XS.
I would expect XS to do the needed tasks automatically or at least have some documentation or whatever to do that.
Citrix Case is opened, will see if they can help me - other than reinstalling XS.
Not sure if "upgrading" from 7.0 to 7.0 works and does the trick.

Problem seems to be quite old:
